Water Resources Leadership™ Program
This 15 session program introduces students to water use globally, locally on at their skills site and develops hands-on skills for future careers in the water resource management industry.
- Students learn about the types of water and the agencies that regulate and deliver it, global water problems and novel solutions.
- Students explore the hidden water infrastructure at school, conduct a hands-on audit of potable water use at school, compare tap water vs. bottled waters, follow the path wastewater takes from the school site and use their campus to study school irrigation efficiency and runoff pollution.
- Students analyze the data collected to design water use reduction strategies and calculate projected savings, and then present their findings in a Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) for school site.
