Student-driven campus improvement projects

Through this program, students in grades 5-12 develop real-world skills while using math, science and teamwork to make meaningful environmental improvements to their own school site.

​The outcome of each program is a set of improvements, known in the industry as Best Management Practices or BMPs, implemented by the students to either physically reduce stormwater pollution from their school site or to influence behaviors in the school community.

Along with what you see above, all of PE's programs include awesome things such as: 
  • Digital files customized with information from local agencies, along with water systems, and local environmental concerns  
  • Continued one-on-one teacher consultation with certified water quality expert
  • All necessary equipment for school site water testing, with personal protective equipment for class
  • Final report development materials and presentation planning

​POSEIDON EDUCATION, LLC

Since 2013, the Poseidon Education team has been facilitating student groups to develop sustainable solutions in the areas of water quality, while connecting students with career path opportunities. ​Our programs train students to collect data, analyze results, develop solutions and present their work with purpose. We partner with local water authorities, engineering organizations and municipalities to fund hands-on real-world programs. Poseidon Education trains and certifies the classroom teacher to lead students in 5th-12th to develop real-world technical skills and discover future career opportunities as water quality leaders.
