Stormwater Quality Leadership 

• Discovery: An introduction to the environmental impacts of stormwater runoff pollution and career-based skill development in the water quality industry
• Field investigation: Students conduct visual observations, collect runoff samples, and collect data from in class labs and certified lab results
• Solution design and implementation: Students work together to design solutions to reduce runoff pollution including structural solutions and effective peer messaging campaigns
• Final report and public outreach: The young leaders are trained in public speaking and use visual aids and digital tools to effectively motivate behavior change. The students work together to prepare and present final recommendations in a Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP) for the school site.

Water Resources Leadership 

• The world of water: An introduction to how different types of water are regulated, transported and used around the earth, including challenges such as access rights and droughts and solutions such as reclaimed water and desalination.
• Water use at school: The hidden water infrastructure that treats and transports potable water to our schools and waste waste water away with hands on exploration of flow metering, irrigation efficiency and potable water taste test.
• Final report and recommendations: Analysis of of all data collected from water use audits to design water use reduction strategies and calculate savings from recommendations. Prepare and present final recommendations in a Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) for school site.
